Ruth Oliphant is an Australian Glass Artist based in Canberra.  She is currently working out of a studio at the Canberra Glassworks. She is trying to recreate an essential aspect of the modern city based on her experiences and memories. She is exploring the use of layers, bringing them together to create more complex landscapes and cityscapes. Through this method she aims to recreate the layered atmospheres of the city environment.
